Back in the fall I got the opportunity to do a photoshoot for Hewing Haus. A prefab company based in the Fraser Valley. This beautiful place was located in the Sunshine Valley close to Hope, British Columbia. Shooting a cabin, top architecture and design close to Vancouver is always amazing.
The shoot came together quite last minute in preparation for the Georgie Awards, we put together how and what we look to capture. I decided on arriving a little before sunrise, even though there was a half decent chance at overcast skies, cloud cover can still play a factor to lighting with where the sun is coming up from and where the shadows would be. Also reviewing this place on an app and seeing how tight the valley was, I wanted to maximize as much light as possible before the sun went behind the mtns making the area darker.
With my accessibility to pickup and go anywhere, this one being a little remote, I opted to sleep in my converted minivan for a solid rest the prior night. Having a love for travel and road trips, I'm very open to travelling far and wide.
